1、 Composition of the power system
A complete power system consists of various types of power plants, step-up and step-down substations, transmission lines, and power users distributed throughout the country, which respectively complete the production, voltage transformation, transmission, distribution, and use of electricity.
2、 Division of power grid, power system, and power system
Power grid: A network composed of transmission equipment, substation equipment, and distribution equipment.
Power system: Adding power generation equipment to the power grid.
Power system: A system that includes the power components of a power plant, such as boilers, steam turbines, reservoirs, water turbines, and reactors in nuclear power plants, on the basis of the power system.
3、 Characteristics of power system operation
Firstly, the total economic output is large. At present, the asset size of China's power industry has exceeded 200 billion yuan, accounting for one fourth of the total state-owned assets. Power production directly affects the healthy development of the national economy.
The second is simultaneity, where electrical energy cannot be stored in large quantities, and each link is composed of a unified and indivisible whole. The transition process is very rapid, and the electricity produced in an instant must be equal to the electricity consumed in an instant. Therefore, every step of power generation, transmission, and distribution to users is very important.
The third is centralization, where power production is highly centralized and unified. No matter how many power plants or power supply companies there are, the power grid must have unified scheduling, management standards, and management methods; There are strict requirements for safety production, organizational discipline, and professional ethics.
The fourth is applicability. The service objects of the power industry are comprehensive, involving all sectors of society, and the quality and level of electricity prices are closely related to the interests of the majority of power users.
Fifth, priority must be given to the development of electricity in the national economy.
